‘Global Health has to include all aspects of health and disease’.

Ib Bygbjerg, Professor of International Health is concerned about the disease-focused approach to health and the clash of diseases, where focus is either on infectious diseases or non-communicable diseases. The latter is often seen as life-style diseases, even though half of the patients do not drink, smoke or are overweight. In his answers to Global Health Minders' five questions about Global Health, Prof. Bygbjerg draws attention to the remaining inequity in health and the one-eyed look at health. He also raises the issue of traffic accidents, which is a big problem but no one is interested in taking on them. Filmed by Anita Hopland and Birgitta My Anttila.
